Key Objectives of the Job:

Responsibilities:

Establish and Lead Engineering Team: Take charge of building and managing an engineering team for Tata Capital. This team will be responsible for the development and maintenance of all front-end and digital assets in the long term.

Architectural Strategy and Implementation: Develop and execute a comprehensive architectural strategy for all retail digital and mobility assets and platforms. Take ownership of implementing this strategy, ensuring effective utilization of resources and alignment with business goals.

New Loan Origination Systems: Oversee the implementation of two primary new loan origination systems for retail products. Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, coordinate with development teams, and ensure successful deployment of these systems. Additionally, ensure the ongoing maintenance and optimization of the CRM platform for Tata Capital.

Agile Methodology Implementation: Evaluate the existing development processes and introduce Agile methodologies to enhance the development culture within the team. Facilitate the adoption of Agile practices such as Scrum or Kanban, promoting iterative development, collaboration, and faster delivery of high-quality solutions.

DevOps Implementation: Drive the implementation of DevOps practices to improve productivity and efficiency within the engineering team. Establish continuous integration and deployment pipelines, automate processes, and leverage tools for monitoring, testing, and infrastructure management. Encourage a culture of automation, continuous improvement, and collaboration between development and operations teams.

Specialized job competencies:

• Proven experience in setting up and managing engineering teams, preferably in the digital and financial services industry.
• Strong expertise in architecting and implementing digital and mobility assets and platforms, with a focus on front-end development.
• In-depth knowledge of loan origination systems, preferably in the retail lending domain.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and experience in leading Agile transformations within development teams.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, tools, and technologies, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, infrastructure as code, and monitoring.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and results-driven approach.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Preferably B Tech from IIT.

Desired Experience:

• 8-10 Years in the Tech. filed. BFSI experience is preferred.
