Vice President – Marketing & PSI (Quantitative), Star Bharat & Star Utsav

Job Summary:
As a Marketing and Programming Strategy & Insights Head, the role will be instrumental in pivoting Star Bharat's content strategy and driving Marketing efforts for both the channels.

Star Utsav is one of India’s leading free-to-air Hindi entertainment channels, bringing iconic, much-loved shows to millions of households across the country. With its strong mass appeal and consistent viewership, Star Utsav represents reach, trust, and nostalgia.

What will you do?

  • Design and implement annual Marketing and Communication plan for the channel brand and its programming line-up for allocated shows and slots
  • Key driver for all impact campaigns/show launch campaigns as well as sustenance initiatives (both On Air & Off Air) to help grow the channel viewership for allocated shows and slots
  • Plan and manage the marketing and OAP budget of the channel, as well as all creative and media agencies working on the brand
  • Mapping and understanding consumer behavior, through deep collaboration with the Insights team to identify the right communication levers basis consumer feedback on content and promotion for allocated shows and slots
  • Directly responsible for all programming & channel related communication across all mediums, like TV, print, digital, offline etc. for the allocated shows and slots.  This includes - Brand Marketing, Impact, Sustenance, PR, Digital marketing, Ground activation & events
  • Own the role of the partnering with Ad Sales organization and be the channel brand custodian
  • Who should apply for this role?

  • Develop in-depth consumer understanding based on macro trends, industry reports, competitor performance, viewership data and primary consumer research to identify target audience and contribute to channel philosophy and content selection.
  • To mine insights, map trends, analyse consumer feedback, identify problem areas, and provide sharp & actionable insights that will directly impact channel/ show strategy.
  • Identify content white spaces that can be added to the channel programming slate.
  • Oversee and analyse daily/weekly viewership data, proactively identify trends, and pre-empt challenges to the content and communication teams.
  • Oversee and supervise FPC planning, slot and break patterns analysis and act as point of escalation for any operational challenges.
