Job Description

Area Sales Manager - Karnataka


Sales Operations


 Prepare volume per dealer plan based on opportunities identified

 Ensure that returns from the dealer are nil

 Suggest and provide enhancement to dealers to increase the sales volume

 Ensure promotional activities are being implemented in the field by sales

executives

 Conduct quarterly reviews with Zonal Manager to ensure dealer volume

increase

In order to effectively execute sales activities for the area


Volume Monitoring


 Identify the sales inhibitors and issues for the area

 Define requirements and priority for the area; Conceptualize action plan for

addressing issues

 Review the adequacy of manpower at dealerships

 Seek opportunities for enhancing the brand visibility through print

advertisements, van displays, etc.


In order to adequately monitor sales performance



Financial Tracking and Reporting


 Review the total working capital availability per dealer

 Monitoring ageing of outstanding, fund rotation, ageing of advances, etc. of

the dealer

 Conduct discussions with the dealer to highlight issues and propose ideas for

old stocks

 Monitor the outstanding balance confirmations from dealers on a quarterly

basis

 Review the travel bills of the executives before submission

 Review the promotional activity bills submitted by the dealer

in order to accurately track financial performance and

ensure adherence to organizational guidelines


Market intelligence


Collect market related information from own and competition dealers

Identify and visit competition dominated pockets

Understand competition sales and marketing activities specifically with

relation to promotional activities

Share relevant information on models, price and marketing activities

In order to gather intelligence on competitor activities


Team Management


 Identify vacant positions

 Assist HR in recruitments

 Conduct performance review and planning & coach subordinates

 Provide development and growth opportunities for identified talent

 Work with HR team to drive and support training

 Resolve escalated people issues in order to build a performance oriented

culture and retain talent
