Job Purpose: The Package Incharge for Water Treatment (ETP, PUW, STP) oversees the operations and maintenance of water treatment systems, ensuring the production of safe potable water and compliance with environmental standards. The role focuses on optimizing resources, ensuring safety, and driving continuous improvement in treatment processes. This position also leads the team, ensures regulatory compliance, and works to improve efficiency and sustainability across the water treatment systems.
Oversee PUW Operations:
- Manage the daily operations of the Pure Water (PUW) systems, ensuring the production of high-quality, safe potable water through filtration and disinfection processes, for both consumption and industrial use.
Oversee ETP and STP Operations:
- Supervise the operations of Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP) and Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), ensuring the treatment processes comply with environmental discharge standards, minimize the environmental impact, and ensure consistent quality as per regulatory requirements.
Manage Resources:
- Optimize the usage of manpower, chemicals, and equipment across PUW, ETP, and STP operations. Develop and monitor budgets for the water treatment processes to maintain cost-effectiveness and ensure sustainable operations.
Ensure Quality and Compliance:
- Regularly monitor and test water quality across Pure Water (PUW) systems, as well as ETP and STP processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Address any deviations promptly to avoid contamination risks and ensure continuous compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Implement Conservation Measures:
- Identify and implement effective water-saving technologies and practices across PUW, ETP, and STP to reduce overall water consumption and minimize environmental impact while enhancing operational efficiency.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to strict safety protocols and enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
Drive Continuous Improvement:
- Leverage data analytics to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement across all systems. Introduce and implement new technologies and process optimizations to improve performance, reduce downtime, and achieve operational cost savings.
Team Development:
- Lead and mentor the operations and maintenance teams, ensuring a safe, respectful, and productive work environment. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, providing training and development opportunities for the team to grow professionally.

Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is essential. Additional certifications in water and wastewater treatment, or environmental management would be beneficial. A strong understanding of water chemistry, treatment processes, and environmental regulations is crucial.
Work Experience (Range of years):
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment operations within an industrial setting. Proven track record in managing water treatment plants, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and implementing water conservation measures. Demonstrated ability to lead water treatment teams and optimize water management processes.
