Assistant Manager - Process (Module)

Job Purpose: The Head - Module Process looks after overall process control activities, technical evaluation of raw materials, participate in Defect reduction analysis and Process Excellence tasks including alternate vendor development. Focus on QMS implementation , internal and external audits, Decision making in selection/technical approval of suppliers, process control, resource optimization, safety compliance, process improvement, and effective communication with stakeholders to ensure efficient and high-quality output.

Process Management:

  • Responsible for overall Implementation of QMS in Module Line process function, Technical Evaluation of Potential Raw material Vendor & Raw material, Departmental MIS, Establishing and monitoring of process parameters of the CTQ, Decision making in selection/technical approval of suppliers, Identification of training needs for PEM department and Approval of quality plans.

Resource Allocation:

  • Allocate resources including equipment, materials, and personnel effectively to optimize process functioning.

Process Control:

  • Implement and oversee QMS in Module line process function, process control measures to ensure solar panel meets quality standards and specifications.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and support lead, managers, engineers and technicians involved in all CTQ process testing and troubleshooting work.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements for a safe work environment.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, defect reduction, alternate vendor development, new technology updated and implement improvements to enhance efficiency.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Review and approve documents, records, reports on process metrics, and communicate with stakeholders.

Innovation:

  • Driving continuous improvement by leading R&D initiatives to develop advanced solutions that optimize module-level performance and functionality. Identifying process-specific market trends to maintain a competitive edge in technology integration and manufacturing efficiency.

Digitalization/Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Overseeing the implementation of digital tools and smart technologies to streamline module workflows, optimize resource utilization, and facilitate data-driven decision-making. Ensuring accurate performance insights across all functional areas to support proactive decision-making.

 

Organizational & Culture Building:

  • Fostering a collaborative, agile work environment within functional teams, aligning team objectives with company values. Driving employee engagement and enabling cross-functional collaboration to enhance efficiency, innovation, and organizational growth.

Leadership in Change Management:

  • Leading effective change management strategies during the transition of processes, systems, or tools within each functional module. Ensuring smooth adoption of new technologies while minimizing disruptions and resistance across teams.

Customer Satisfaction:

  • Ensuring high product quality and timely process/module outputs by adhering to strict quality standards and timelines. Integrating customer feedback into module-specific improvements to enhance overall satisfaction, service delivery, and operational efficiency.

People Development:

  • Leading from the front & being accountable for the professional growth of your teams. Developing/conducting/promoting training & learning initiatives to enhance skills & empowering them to take ownership of key processes and decisions.

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master's degree in engineering, management, or related field.

Work Experience (Range of years):

  • 12-15 Years of experience in leading overall process function within a solar manufacturing cluster.
