Job Purpose: This role is responsible in overseeing timely electrical maintenance activities to ensure equipment availability and operational readiness during assigned shifts. This includes handling plant emergencies, developing preventive maintenance schedules for enhanced reliability, and providing immediate corrective actions to maintain continuous operations. The role also encompasses monitoring equipment conditions, issuing work permits for safe electrical maintenance, and managing essential spare parts inventory to prevent unplanned outages and minimize downtime. Coordination with various departments and supervision of junior technicians are key to ensuring smooth plant operations.
Execute electrical maintenance activities for BTG and associated areas to ensure continuous operational reliability.
Conduct and coordinate with business associates for efficient and reliable maintenance for HT/LT switchgears, and service transformers, ESP and Lifts.
Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and System Maintenance Plans (SMPs) for BTG and associated areas to reflect current best practices and operational requirements.
Support the implementation of improvement projects for associated areas.
Ensure execution as per comprehensive maintenance strategies and plan, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Conduct AOH, COH and manage maintenance during outages, focusing on safe, timely, and efficient project completion within budgets and allotted manpower.
Execute maintenance tasks in case of outages in the assigned area, ensuring that all actions are performed according to established protocols and standards.
Troubleshoot equipment failures and conduct equipment failure analysis to prevent recurrence and improve system reliability.
Prepare draft Standard Maintenance Plans (SMPs) for assigned areas, providing them to Team Leads for final review and approval.
Operational Excellence and System Reliability:
Execute proactive maintenance and testing to ensure equipment operates within permissible limits and suggest corrective actions as needed.
Monitor business associates performance, bill certifications, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Perform timely completion of Preventive Maintenance (PM), Corrective Maintenance (CM), and condition monitoring activities.
Identify and act on opportunities for process and system enhancements to meet evolving operational needs and directives from leadership.
Engage in repairing and refurbishment activities for associated area equipment, ensuring that all maintenance work is carried out to the highest standards.
Tracking maintenance activities, manage spare parts inventory, and ensure the timely closure of notifications on SAP.
Identify system upgrade opportunities and perform implementation through innovative ideas and best practices.
Perform and monitor the testing of electrical equipment for BTG and associated areas, as required.
Inventory Management:
Assist in the spares inventory management and development of vital indigenous spares associated area.
Create PRs for materials and services and follow up with Techno commercial team for procurement and contracts awarding and end-to-end closing of process.
Business Sustainability:
Ensure adherence to IMS, AWMS, DISHA, ABEM and CHETNA guidelines within the department.
Maintain compliance with legal and statutory requirements, including electrical license renewal and certifications for elevators.
Mitigate hazardous processes, participate in mock drills, and ensure the safety of personnel and equipment through proper training and adherence to safety protocols.
Digitalization and Automation:
Support comprehensive Digitalization strategies to optimize operational efficiency.
Innovate and implement automation solutions to support overall organizational goals / strategy.

Education Qualification:
Diploma/ BE/B. Tech in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
Work Experience:
Diploma having 8+ Years and BE/B. Tech with 5 + years of experience in electrical maintenance within power distribution.
Preferred Industry:
Experience in the power generation, transmission, or distribution industry, with a focus on ESP area ,HT/LT Switchgear and service transformers.
