Deputy General Manager - Customs & Logistics
Responsibilities
Implement Zero Harm Culture in the Warehouse:
- Build a safety culture within the warehouse by ensuring full commitment to safety, health, and environmental regulations, aiming for zero accidents.
Operate and Maintain Warehouse Efficiency :
- Ensure high reliability and efficiency in warehouse operations while meeting organizational requirements for maximum output within budget and manpower constraints.
Enhancement of Top to Bottom Warehouse Operations :
- Streamline all activities to improve output without increasing manpower, equipment, or time. This includes rework, pallet verification, automation, physical verification, and FIFO/LIFO processes.
Achieve Departmental Objectives and Goals on Time :
- Focus on minimizing document creation time, controlling damages, and improving loading turnaround times to meet departmental objectives effectively.
Build Strong Relationships with Internal Departments :
- Foster collaborative relationships with internal teams to ensure successful outcomes, including succession planning for critical positions and talent management to boost overall productivity.
Process and System Improvement :
- Continuously seek and implement innovative ideas to enhance processes and systems, making operations more efficient and effective.
Innovation:
- Integrating innovative technologies to streamline warehouse processes, optimize supply chain operations, and improve efficiency.
Digitalization/Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Driving the adoption of digital tools like warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tracking to enhance operations and make data-driven decisions.
Organizational & Culture Building:
- Fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and collaboration, while empowering the warehouse team to align with company goals.
Leadership in Change Management:
- Leading the implementation of new technologies and processes, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption during changes.
People Development:
- Leading from the front & being accountable for the professional growth of your teams. Developing/conducting/promoting training & learning initiatives to enhance skills & empowering them to take ownership of key processes and decisions.

Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
- B.Tech in Engineering (Industrial/Logistics).
- Desired: BE/B.Tech.
Work Experience (Range of years):
- 12-14 years in finished goods management. Skilled in FG receipt, storage, and order fulfillment.
