Deputy Manager - Logistics

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to meet business objectives
• Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals to ensure efficient and effective execution of day-to-day operations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and best practices
• Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Oversee compliance with local and international regulations governing the transportation and handling of copper materials
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and negotiate favorable contracts to support business requirements
• Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to drive continuous improvement in logistics operations
• Act as a liaison between logistics, procurement, production, and sales teams to ensure seamless coordination and communication

Qualifications

Education Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Master's degree or MBA in a relevant field (preferred)

Experience

• 8-13 years of experience in logistics operations within the copper industry or similar field
• Demonstrated success in leading and managing logistics teams
• Proven track record of implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
