Field Officer - Scrap Segregation Plant - Copper

Responsibilities

Material Collection & Coordination:

• Coordinate with e-waste collection partners and transporters for timely pickup of PCBs and ICW.
• Verify and document the quantity and type of incoming materials.

Pre-Processing Supervision:

• Oversee manual and mechanical dismantling of PCBs and stripping of ICW.
• Ensure proper segregation of components (e.g., copper, plastic insulation, soldered parts).

Safety & Compliance:

• Enforce safety protocols for handling sharp, toxic, or heavy components.
• Ensure compliance with CPCB and local environmental regulations.

Inventory & Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of material inflow, processing output, and waste disposal.
• Prepare daily reports on operations, material yield, and issues encountered.

Team Management:

• Supervise field workers and technicians involved in dismantling and sorting.
• Conduct training on safe handling, tool usage, and emergency procedures.

Quality Control:

• Monitor quality of segregation and ensure minimal contamination between material streams.
• Identify and report defective or hazardous items for special handling.

Qualifications

Qualifications Required:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Safety, or related field.

Preferred Certifications:

• E-Waste Handling & Management
• Hazardous Waste Operations (HAZWOPER)
• Occupational Health & Safety

Experience Required:

• 1–3 years of experience in e-waste management, preferably with hands-on exposure to PCB dismantling and copper wire processing.
• Familiarity with tools and equipment used in wire stripping and PCB handling.
• Experience in team supervision and operational reporting.
