Head - ESG (Associate General Manager - Copper)

• Develop and implement a comprehensive ESG strategy tailored to the Copper Business Unit’s operational and strategic goals.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and standards, including conducting environmental impact assessments and audits.
• Lead the integration of ESG principles into the Copper Business Unit’s projects and operations, ensuring alignment with Adani Group’s sustainability framework.
• Establish and manage ESG data management and reporting systems to ensure accurate, transparent, and timely reporting.
• Conduct ESG risk assessments and materiality analyses to identify and mitigate potential risks to the business.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive sustainability initiatives and foster a culture of environmental and social responsibility.
• Monitor and report on the Copper Business Unit’s ESG performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Engage with stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, industry groups, and community organizations, to promote the Copper Business Unit’s ESG agenda.
• Stay updated on global ESG trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure the Copper Business Unit remains at the forefront of sustainability.
• Support the Copper Business Unit’s strategic initiatives by aligning ESG goals with the broader mission of reducing import dependency and enhancing self-reliance.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
• 15–20 years of experience in ESG strategy development and implementation, preferably within the metals or manufacturing sector.
• Extensive experience in regulatory compliance, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability reporting.
• Demonstrated experience in environmental regulations, impact assessment methodologies, and ESG risk management.
• Strong background in ESG data management and reporting systems, with a track record of successful implementation.
