Job Description

Lead IR/ER

Responsibilities

Provide insights to define the philosophy, strategy, road map and goals for the IR function aligned with the overall HR strategy and business growth plans; Devise and implement a robust communication plan for the same                

Support in strategic workforce planning process to determine long-term outsourced manpower requirements basis the existing talent supply and changing market dynamics

Ensure alignment to the established band/grade matrix while hiring at the BU level              

Participate in periodic governance councils to share insights from an IR & ER perspective and help devise action plans basis audit findings; Responsible for implementation of the action plans at the BU level                      

Build strategic relationships with partners and leverage them to benefit the organization and promote Adani brand               

Support in formulating framework and policy (structure, composition, frequency of meetings and objectives) for establishment of IR councils across different sites to provide appropriate aid to labour;                   

Create and execute communication plans for policy adoption; Drive adherence to the same at the BU level                        

Interact with Partner the BU HR Head and Group IR Head & labour and trade unions at various sites and build relationships with them for benefit of labour and management     

Ensure complete and accurate documentation at the BU level and ensure adherence to various statutory compliances such as Factories Act, Contract Labour Act, EPF Act, Employees' Compensation Act, Payment of Wages Act.                   

Present the outsource manpower requirements to leadership for approval and finalization              

Drive communication of policies and guidelines across the BU and educate all sites for effective implementation                        

Keep up-to-date with HR technological developments for adopting relevant practices for greater efficiency                         

Analyze employee data to generate IR & ER related strategic insights from employee data               

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:                               

Bachelor’s degree in law/ business management/ organizational psychology or relevant field                                   

Experiences:                             

Minimum of 15 years of experience in the field of HR and at least 3 years of experience in a team leading role in a similar position for at least two units/ organizations                                    

 Preferable to have held previous role with oversight of medium size operations across geographies; Experience with working in a multicultural environment                           

Strong knowledge and experience with labour law, collective bargaining, contract management, union campaigns and organizational culture                                     

 Proven expertise in developing and implementing both dedicated and reactive labour relations strategy                            

Hands-on experience with grievance resolution                                 

Experience in developing HR/ IR policies and procedures to ensure statutory compliance; Exposure to HR risk management verticals                                     

Strong interpersonal skills for dealing with internal and external stakeholders (trade unions, government authorities)
