Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the mechanical engineering team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure optimal performance and professional development
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery to support the manufacturing processes
• Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address mechanical engineering challenges, troubleshoot technical issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage and prioritize project timelines, budgets, and resources to meet production goals and organizational objectives
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to mechanical engineering, equipment maintenance, and workplace safety
• Contribute to the evaluation and selection of new technologies, equipment, and suppliers to enhance mechanical capabilities and drive innovation
• Communicate and report on mechanical engineering activities, performance metrics, and project updates to senior management and key stakeholders
• Mentor and foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement within the mechanical engineering team

Qualifications

• 20-25 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the copper industry
• Demonstrated track record of successful management and leadership in a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience in overseeing mechanical operations, maintenance, and project management
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
