Job Purpose: Head - PPC oversee Production Planning & Control (PPC) function by developing and executing strategic production plans aligned with project deadlines, resource availability, and plant capacity. This role ensures optimized utilization of resources, timely delivery, and cross-functional coordination, contributing to operational excellence and client satisfaction.
Strategic Production Planning:
Drive project-wise production planning considering deadlines, material availability, manpower, and factory capacity. Review engineering drawings and project requirements to align production targets and timelines.
Resource Management:
Assess current and future capacity requirements and allocate resources efficiently across projects. Forecast manpower and equipment needs while avoiding under/overutilization of assets. Monitor stock levels and track procurement to maintain optimum inventory for seamless execution.
Project Scenario Analysis:
Conduct scenario analysis involving time, cost, manpower, and material availability to generate realistic execution plans. Anticipate risks and constraints to support proactive decision-making and on-time delivery.
Stakeholder Management:
Serve as the key point of contact for clients regarding project progress, delivery timelines, and execution plans. Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment, resolve issues, and maintain transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
Budget Management:
Control budgets by analyzing actual vs planned expenditures and initiating corrective measures when required.
Documentation & Reporting:
Overseeand present periodic progress reports, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to senior leadership. Ensure real-time reporting and feedback mechanisms to facilitate agile decision-making.
Talent Management:
Oversee PPC department operations and ensure team alignment with strategic business goals. Contribute to talent acquisition, capability building, and performance development of the planning team.
Process Improvement:
Identify gaps in current planning and execution processes; initiate and implement process improvement projects. Promote digital tools and lean methodologies to improve planning efficiency and accuracy.
Brand Positioning:
Ensure Adani's brand values are shown in all interactions. Strengthen relationships to boost the organization's brand and trust within the market and company.
Team Development:
Build a high-performing team. Set clear KPIs, track progress, and implement strategies for continuous improvement. Promote a respectful and safe workplace, lead collaborative and productive teams, and mentor for growth and success. Tracks and reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) for digital business success.
