Manager - Projects

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities 

1. Ensure that the civil works are carried out as per project specifications and timelines. 

2. Supervise site activities and manage site personnel. 

3. Maintain high standards of quality control and safety. 

4. Act as key point of contact between on-site staff, project managers, consultants, and contractors. 

5. Provide regular progress updates and ensure clear communication with all stakeholders. 

Roles & Responsibilities 

• Site Supervision: Oversee daily construction operations, ensuring strict adherence to project plans, drawings, Bar Bending Schedules (BBS), and specifications. Allocate and manage tasks for workers and contractors, ensuring optimal use of resources to maintain smooth workflow. Monitor work progress and provide technical guidance to resolve any issues or challenges that arise on-site. 

• Coordination and Communication: Serve as a liaison between project managers, the engineering team, and other stakeholders, ensuring seamless coordination and efficient execution of tasks. Facilitate the timely delivery of materials and equipment to prevent delays, ensuring the project stays on schedule. Regularly communicate project updates and any on-site issues to senior management to ensure they are informed and can make timely decisions. 

• Quality Control and Safety: Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements. Conduct regular quality checks on materials and completed work to ensure they meet project specifications. Enforce site safety protocols, conduct safety briefings (toolbox talks), and address any safety concerns immediately to maintain a hazard-free environment. 

• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed daily site logs and progress reports, documenting labor, material usage, and equipment status. Assist in preparing work schedules and tracking project timelines, ensuring that all milestones are achieved as planned. Document any non-conformance issues, report them promptly, and work with the team to suggest and implement corrective actions to resolve issues effectively.

Qualifications

• Education: Diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. 

• Experience: 7-8 years of Experience in site supervision or a related role
