Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the copper section, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and production targets
• Lead and manage a team of professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high performance and motivation
• Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize production processes, minimize downtime, and enhance overall efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical issues, implement process improvements, and drive continuous innovation
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and corrective actions
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards
• Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure the reliability and availability of equipment and machinery
• Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process, controlling costs and optimizing resource allocation
• Communicate effectively with senior management, providing updates on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities
• Champion a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the section

Qualifications

Education Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
• Master's degree in a relevant discipline (preferred)

Certification required:

• Valid certification in industrial safety and risk management
• Certification in lean manufacturing or six sigma (preferred)

Experience:

• 8-13 years of experience in the copper industry
• Prior experience in a managerial or supervisory role
• Demonstrated track record of successfully leading teams and driving operational excellence
