Job Description

Senior Officer - Administration

A. Colony Operations Management
  • Oversee daily functioning of the labour colony including accommodation blocks, common areas, canteens, recreation zones, and utilities.
  • Ensure proper upkeep of infrastructure – water supply, electricity, sanitation, drainage, cleanliness, pest control etc.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintain checklists for hygiene, safety, and housekeeping standards.
  • Manage room allocation & occupancy records for labour workforce.
B. Welfare & Facility Management
  • Ensure timely delivery of services including food distribution, medical support, transport coordination, waste management etc.
  • Implement welfare initiatives for labour workforce as per company guidelines.
  • Monitor canteen operations – food quality, hygiene, menu planning, cost control, vendor service levels.
C. Vendor & Contractor Coordination
  • Handle contracts related to housekeeping, security, canteen, maintenance, pest control and other facility management services.
  • Verify service delivery, track attendance of vendor manpower, and approve bills/ invoices after verification.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams for timely repair & upkeep.
D. Statutory Compliance & Documentation
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, occupational health & safety norms, and local statutory requirements.
  • Maintain documentation and reports related to colony operations, inspections, audits, compliance registers, and manpower records.
E. Safety & Security
  • Ensure security arrangements (CCTV, access control, patrolling) are always functional.
  • Implement safety protocols in accommodation and common areas.
  • Coordinate with safety teams for fire drills, safety training, and emergency response planning.
F. Cost & Inventory Management
  • Handle budgeting for colony administration and track monthly operational expenses.
  • Maintain records of consumables, tools, equipment, cleaning materials, and ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
G. Stakeholder Management
  • Liaison with internal departments – HR, Admin, Project, Security, EHS, CSR, and site management.
  • Address grievances of labour workforce and ensure timely resolution.
  • Support onboarding/exit formalities of contract workers in coordination with HR.
  • Graduate (Any discipline)
  • 3–7 years of experience in administration / facility management roles, preferably in large industrial projects or labor colonies.
  • Experience with Adani projects or similar EPC/infra companies will be an added advantage.
