Housekeeping Supervisor

A housekeeping supervisor manages a team to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met, assigning duties, training staff, and monitoring quality. Their role includes overseeing daily operations, handling guest requests and complaints, managing inventory and supplies, and performing administrative tasks like scheduling and reporting. They may also assist with cleaning duties, ensure safety policies are followed, and work with other departments to address maintenance needs. 

Key responsibilities

• Team and staff management:
• Assign daily cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Provide training, guidance, and motivation to housekeeping staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations and help with staff issues.
• Organise replacement staff when someone is absent.

• Operations and quality control:
• Supervise and coordinate daily operations to ensure they are efficient and effective.
• Inspect areas to ensure they meet cleanliness and safety standards.
• Handle and respond to guest requests and complaints.
• Ensure compliance with all sanitation and safety policies.

• Inventory and administration:
• Manage and order supplies, equipment, and new furniture.
• Issue supplies to staff.
• Prepare reports, schedules, and other administrative records.
