About the role

As a Restaurant Captain at Hoysala Restopub, you will be the backbone of our dining floor operations. You will supervise the service team, manage guest interactions with confidence, and ensure that every table receives flawless, attentive hospitality. This role combines leadership, F&B expertise, and a genuine passion for creating outstanding dining experiences.


Key responsibilities


  • Supervise and guide stewards and waiters during service shifts to ensure consistent standards
  • Welcome VIP guests, manage seating allocation, and handle special requests or reservations
  • Take food and beverage orders from guests with thorough menu knowledge including upselling
  • Coordinate closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure accurate and timely order delivery
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings β€” inform staff on daily specials, events, and service priorities
  • Monitor table setups, hygiene standards, and floor cleanliness throughout the shift
  • Handle guest complaints diplomatically and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
  • Manage billing, KOTs (Kitchen Order Tickets), and POS entries with accuracy
  • Train new stewards and waiters on service standards and restopub protocols
  • Assist the F&B Manager during private events, live nights, and banquet setup


Who we're looking for


  • 2–4 years experience preferredDiploma or degree in Hotel Management preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • Minimum 2 years of restaurant or restopub floor experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of F&B service etiquette, menu management, and bar operations
  • Excellent communication in Kannada and working knowledge of English or Hindi
  • Natural leadership ability β€” calm under pressure, decisive, and team-oriented
  • Familiarity with POS billing systems and KOT management
  • Well-groomed, professional appearance with high personal standards
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and festive/event days
