Founding Backend Engineer

Founding Backend Engineer at Microsys, you will play a pivotal role in architecting and building the core of our next-generation web-based ERP platform. Your work will power the foundation that thousands of pharmacies rely on every day ensuring the system is reliable, scalable, and lightning-fast.

You’ll design robust backend systems, optimize database performance, and enable seamless communication between services to support our intelligent, AI-driven ERP ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js and related frameworks
• Build and optimize MSSQL databases for high availability, performance, and data integrity
• Implement efficient caching strategies using Redis to enhance system performance
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to define API specifications and ensure seamless integration
• Work with the product team to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Establish backend architecture, coding standards, and best practices for scalability and security
• Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and data flow
• Mentor junior developers and help establish a strong engineering culture

Requirements

• 3+ years of backend development experience
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, and modern backend frameworks
• Deep understanding of MSSQL (queries, indexing, optimization, stored procedures)
• Experience with Redis or other caching and message-queue systems
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and microservice architecture
• Familiarity with authentication, authorization, and data security best practices
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to performance optimization
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
