Deputy Manager - Safety

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  1. HSE Systems Development and Compliance
  • Assist in Formulation and Enhancement of HSE Systems
    • Aid in the development and improvement of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) systems to comply with ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 standards.
    • Ensure HSE systems meet all statutory requirements and client expectations.

2. HSE Strategy Execution

  • Aid in Executing HSE Strategy
    • Support the implementation of the HSE strategy for the project.
    • Ensure the HSE strategy aligns with organizational and project objectives.

3. Risk Management

  • Risk Identification and Evaluation
    • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks associated with workplace activities.
    • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments in collaboration with the team.
  • Management of Change (MoC)
    • Ensure proper implementation of the Management of Change (MoC) process for all modifications.

4. Statutory and Client Safety Regulations

  • Compliance with Safety Regulations
    • Ensure adherence to statutory and client safety regulations.
    • Ensure strict adherence to PTW (Permit to Work) guidelines for all maintenance and production activities requiring permits.

5. Safety Inspections and Audits

  • Conduct Safety Inspections and Audits
    • Carry out regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.

6. Incident Investigation and Analysis

  • Investigate Accidents/Incidents
    • Investigate accidents and incidents, performing root cause analysis.
    • Develop corrective measures and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.

7. Employee Education and Training

  • SHE Guidelines Training
    • Educate employees on Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) guidelines through regular training sessions.
    • Foster a culture of safety, ensuring employees follow SHE rules and actively report unsafe observations, conditions, and near misses.

8. Sustainability Targets

  • Collaborate on Sustainability Initiatives
    • Collaborate with the team to meet sustainability targets, including reductions in energy consumption, water usage, and waste generation.

9. Safety Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Prepare and Update SOPs
    • Prepare and update Safety Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure they are current and effective.
    • Identify potential hazards and establish preventive measures.

10. Record Keeping and Documentation

  • Maintain Accurate Records
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation for safety operations and procedures.

11. Safety Performance Metrics

  • Calculate and Report Safety Statistics

Calculate, analyze, and report statistics related to safety performance parameters, providing insights for continuous improvement
