Food and Beverages Executive

Role Overview

The Food & Beverages Coordinator is responsible for the efficient management and smooth operation of the IT campus canteen. This role ensures high-quality food services, vendor coordination, hygiene compliance, cost control, and employee satisfaction while aligning with company policies and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Canteen Operations:

  • Oversee daily operations of the campus canteen, pantry, and food service areas

  • Ensure timely and uninterrupted food service for employees

  • Monitor food quality, taste, portion size, and presentation

  • Coordinate menus in consultation with vendors and stakeholders

Vendor & Contract Management:

  • Manage food courts, catering partners, and beverage suppliers

  • Monitor vendor performance as per Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

  • Handle contract renewals, negotiations, and compliance

  • Address vendor-related issues and ensure corrective actions

Hygiene, Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards

  • Conduct regular hygiene audits and inspections

  • Ensure compliance with FSSAI guidelines, local municipal norms, and company policies

  • Coordinate pest control, waste management, and cleanliness activities

Quality Control & Employee Satisfaction:

  • Collect employee feedback and implement improvements

  • Resolve food-related complaints promptly and professionally

  • Conduct periodic taste checks and quality assessments

Inventory & Cost Control:

  • Monitor inventory levels of food items, consumables, and pantry supplies

  • Track billing, invoices, and cost control measures

  • Validate vendor bills and coordinate with finance for payments

Reporting & Coordination:

  • Prepare MIS reports on canteen operations, costs, and employee feedback

  • Coordinate with Admin, HR, Facilities, and Security teams

  • Support company events, meetings, and special food requirements

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, or a related field

Experience:

  • 3–6 years of experience in canteen management, corporate F&B operations, or hospitality services

  • Experience in managing large-volume food services (corporate/IT campus preferred)

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

  • Vendor and stakeholder management skills

  • Budgeting and cost control knowledge

  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Problem-solving and conflict management skills

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, reporting, and basic MIS

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Food quality and hygiene compliance score

  • Employee satisfaction feedback

  • Cost efficiency and budget adherence

  • Vendor SLA performance

  • Complaint resolution turnaround time

Working Conditions

  • On-site role

  • May require early morning or extended hours based on operations

Preferred Attributes

  • Certification in Food Safety (FSSAI)– preferred)

  • Experience managing IT/Corporate campus canteens

  • Customer-centric mindset with attention to detail
