Interior Designer – Job DescriptionRole OverviewAn Interior Designer is responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing interior spaces that are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with client requirements. The role involves design development, coordination with vendors, and site execution.

• Key Responsibilities1. Design & PlanningUnderstand client requirements, lifestyle, and budget.
• Develop concept designs, mood boards, and layouts.
• Prepare 2D drawings (plans, elevations, sections).
• Create 3D visualizations and renders for client presentation.
• Select materials, finishes, color schemes, and furnishings.
• 2. Furniture Design & DetailingDesign modular and custom furniture (wardrobes, kitchens, TV units, beds, office furniture).
• Prepare detailed working drawings, including:
• Dimensions and joinery details
• Material specifications (plywood, laminate, veneer, MDF, WPC)
• Hardware selection (hinges, channels, fittings)
• Coordinate with carpenters/vendors for execution.
• Ensure ergonomics and functionality in furniture design.
• 3. Site Execution & CoordinationConduct regular site visits and inspections.
• Supervise work progress as per drawings and timeline.
• Coordinate with:
• Civil contractors
• Electricians
• Plumbers
• Carpenters and fabricators
• Ensure quality control and finishing standards.
• Handle site issues and provide practical solutions.
• 4. BOQ & CostingPrepare BOQ (Bill of Quantities).
• Estimate project costs and manage budgets.
• Source materials and negotiate with vendors.
• 5. Client HandlingPresent designs and explain concepts clearly.
• Take feedback and implement revisions.
• Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project.
• Required Software SkillsDesign & DraftingAutoCAD (2D drawings – must)

• 3ds Max / V-Ray (rendering – preferred)
• Visualization & PresentationPhotoshop (basic editing, presentations)
