Retail Store Manager

Job Summary :The Retail Store Manager oversees the daily operations of an artificial jewellery store, ensuring excellent customer service, effective team management, and achievement of sales targets. The role requires a balance of leadership, sales expertise, visual merchandising, and product knowledge to drive store performance and create a delightful shopping experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Store Operations & Sales Management

• Oversee daily store operations to ensure smooth functioning and adherence to company standards.
• Drive sales performance to meet or exceed monthly and annual targets.
• Monitor inventory levels, stock replenishment, and product display to maintain an attractive showroom.
• Manage billing, cash handling, and ensure accurate daily sales reconciliation.

2. Customer Service

Provide excellent customer service by ensuring a warm, professional, and personalized experience.

• Handle customer queries, complaints, and exchanges effectively and courteously.
• Build strong customer relationships and encourage repeat business through loyalty programs or personalized service.

3. Team Leadership

Supervise, train, and motivate sales associates to deliver outstanding service and achieve individual and team goals.

• Schedule shifts, assign duties, and ensure adequate staffing during peak hours.
• Conduct regular team meetings to review performance, share updates, and address challenges.
• 4. Visual Merchandising & Store PresentationEnsure the store layout and product displays are visually appealing and aligned with brand guidelines.
• Coordinate seasonal product arrangements, promotions, and festive displays.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and a welcoming store environment.
• 5. Inventory & Stock ControlMaintain accurate stock records and conduct periodic stock audits.
• Liaise with suppliers and the head office for stock replenishment and new product arrivals.
• Identify slow-moving or damaged stock and recommend appropriate action.
• 6. Reporting & AdministrationPrepare and submit daily/weekly sales and performance reports.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, average transaction value, and footfall.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
