Senior Accountant

Role Overview

​The Senior Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial data and supporting the organization’s fiscal health. This role goes beyond data entry; we are looking for an analytical thinker who can manage complex reconciliations, drive the month-end close process, and provide actionable insights to leadership. You will act as a bridge between junior staff and the Finance Director.

​Key Responsibilities

​Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

​General Ledger Management: Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations.

​Compliance & Audit: Lead the preparation for external audits and ensure compliance with GAAP (or IFRS) and local tax regulations.

​Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current accounting workflows and implement automated or streamlined solutions.

​Mentorship: Review the work of junior accountants and provide guidance on complex accounting treatments.

​Budgeting & Variance Analysis: Assist in the development of annual budgets and perform monthly variance analysis to explain deviations from forecasts.
