Site Civil Engineer

1. Site Execution & Supervision

Supervise day-to-day construction activities as per drawings and specifications

Ensure work is executed according to approved plans, BOQ, and quality standards

Monitor progress of work and maintain construction schedule

Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and consultants

Handle on-site technical issues and suggest practical solutions.

2. Material Management

Check quality of incoming materials (cement, steel, sand, aggregate, tiles, etc.)

Ensure proper storage of materials to avoid damage or wastage

Maintain material consumption records

Raise material requisitions as per site requirement

Prevent theft, misuse, and excess consumption.

3. Quality Control

Ensure workmanship quality as per IS codes and project specifications

Conduct checks for RCC, masonry, plaster, waterproofing, tiling, etc.

Ensure correct mix ratios and curing practices

Arrange site tests (slump test, cube test, etc.)

Rectify defects and rework immediately.

4. Measurement & Billing

Take daily measurements of executed work

Prepare Measurement Book (MB) entries

Assist in preparing RA bills and final bills

Cross-check quantities with BOQ and drawings

Maintain record drawings and as-built drawings.

5. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain site registers (cement, steel, labour, safety, etc.)

Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR)

Maintain drawings, approvals, and correspondence

Record site instructions and changes

Maintain photographs and site records.
