Job OverviewWe are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Survey Engineer with 1–2 years of experience in railway or infrastructure projects. The role involves performing accurate land surveys, preparing cross sections and longitudinal sections (L-sections), validating site layouts, and ensuring all surveying activities support construction accuracy and billing measurements.

• Key Responsibilities1. Site Survey & MeasurementConduct topographical, route, alignment, and level surveys for railway works (tracks, stations, bridges, embankments, drainage, etc.).
• Operate Total Station, Auto Level, DGPS, and other surveying instruments for precise data collection.
• Establish and maintain benchmarks, control points, and reference lines.
• Cross Section & L-Section PreparationPrepare Cross Sections (CS) and Longitudinal Sections (L-Section) for railway alignment, embankments, cuttings, and drainage structures.
• Extract and process field data to generate accurate cross-sectional details for earthwork calculation.
• Create L-sections based on survey chainage and levels to assist in design, execution, and billing.
• Update CS/L-section drawings periodically based on site progress.
• Setting Out & Layout WorkPerform setting out for alignment marking, track centerline, embankment limits, structural foundations, and other construction works.
• Ensure field layout matches drawings and specifications with required accuracy.
• Data Processing & DrawingsProcess survey data to prepare drawings, contours, profiles, and survey plans.
• Use CAD and survey software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.) for generating digital drawings and reports.
• Verification of Site WorkVerify executed quantities such as embankment, earthwork, structures, and track alignment with approved drawings.
• Coordinate with billing teams to provide validated survey measurements including cross sections and L-sections.
• Documentation & RecordsMaintain field books, level sheets, CS/L-section records, alignment information, and daily survey logs.
• Store survey data in an organized manner for auditing and project references.
• ReconciliationCompare surveyed quantities with BOQ and contract drawings.
• Highlight discrepancies and coordinate with engineers for corrections.
• CoordinationCollaborate with construction, billing, and planning teams to ensure survey accuracy in all stages.
• Provide survey-related inputs for planning and billing purposes.
• ComplianceEnsure survey work adheres to Indian Railway / IRSE standards and project specifications.
• RequirementsDiploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Surveying.
• 1–2 years of experience in surveying for railway or infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in Total Station, Auto Level, DGPS and survey data processing tools.
• Strong experience in preparing Cross Sections and L-Sections.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar software.
• Ability to interpret alignment drawings, profiles, and cross-sections.
• Strong documentation and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Preferred SkillsExperience with railway linear projects: track alignment, earthwork, bridges, stations, etc.
• Knowledge of Indian Railways / IRSE survey standards.
