Job Title: Lathe Operator

Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Lathe Operator to join our production team. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining lathe machines (Manual) to cut, shape, and finish metal or plastic parts. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, can read blueprints with precision, and takes pride in producing high-quality components.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Setup: Select and install cutting tools, attachments, and materials according to job specifications.
• Operation: Monitor machine performance, adjusting speeds, feeds, and depth of cuts to ensure accuracy.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using precision instruments like micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure they meet blueprint tolerances.
• Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance on equipment to ensure longevity and safety.
• Safety: Maintain a clean workspace and strictly follow all OSHA and internal safety protocols.

Experience: Proven experience operating Manual or CNC Lathes.

• Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Math Skills: Strong grasp of basic shop math, including geometry and unit conversions.
• Certification: High school diploma or GED required; vocational training or apprenticeship is a plus.
