Core Job Responsibilities

• Access Control: Monitor and verify the identity of employees, visitors, and vehicles entering or leaving the premises to ensure only authorized personnel have access.
• Patrolling: Conduct regular, documented foot or vehicle patrols of the facility, perimeter, and high-risk areas to detect breaches or safety hazards.
• Surveillance: Monitor security cameras (CCTV), alarm systems, and lighting to detect suspicious activity or unauthorized entry.
• Safety Inspection: Inspect doors, windows, gates, and equipment to ensure they are properly secured and functioning, and check for fire hazards.
• Incident Reporting: Maintain detailed logs of daily activities and prepare comprehensive reports on incidents, including theft, accidents, or property damage.
• Emergency Response: Act as first responders to alarms, accidents, or disasters (fire, medical), ensuring safe evacuation and liaising with law enforcement or emergency services.
• Loading Dock Security: Monitor loading docks and verify documentation for incoming/outgoing shipments to prevent theft.
