Job Description For Site Supervisor

Position: Site Supervisor
Employment Type: Permanent

Job Summary:
The Site Engineer works is to oversee and manage the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of CCTV systems at railway stations and Other Projects related to ELV system. The role involves ensuring the project is executed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Site Engineer will coordinate with the project team, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of CCTV systems at railway stations.
- Plan and schedule project activities, ensuring all tasks are completed on time.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager to align on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Knowledge of ELV Systems (BMS, Access Control, Lighting & Lighting Control, PA Systems, CCTV, Fire Alarm Systems & PMS).
- Technical Oversight:
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to plan the installation process.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Supervise the installation of CCTV systems, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, Testing, Commissioning Servicing / Maintenance, of– IP
- Surveillance Systems and Building Management, FAS, ACS, or related equipment
- Troubleshoot technical issues during the installation and commissioning phases.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions to the Project Manager and other relevant parties.
- Coordinate with railway station management and other authorities for necessary approvals and access.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all work is carried out to the required quality standards.
- Perform quality checks and inspections on installed systems.
- Document and report any deviations or issues, along with recommended corrective actions.
- Health & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines during the installation process.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to mitigate risks.
- Promote a safe working environment for all team members and contractors.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily reports, logs, and inspection reports.
- Prepare and submit progress reports to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
- Document as-built drawings and technical manuals for the installed systems.
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of experience in installing and managing CCTV systems, preferably in large infrastructure projects.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in CCTV systems or security systems installation are a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of CCTV systems and related technologies.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using CAD software and other relevant tools related to CAD drawing / layouts / building plans in accordance with RFP, Contracts & Terms / approved Policies.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Proven hands-on practical knowledge of ELV Systems (BMS, Access Control, Lighting & Lighting Control, PA Systems, CCTV, Fire Alarm Systems & PMS).
- Good understanding of detailed scope of work contracts, SLAs, Checklists and Hand-over documents are a must.
Work Environment:
- Primarily on-site at railway stations, with occasional office work.
- Must be willing to work in various weather conditions and at different times, including nights and weekends, as required by the project schedule.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry equipment.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
- Good physical stamina and dexterity.
