 A Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and creating growth strategies to increase revenue and market presence. Key activities include market research, lead generation, creating proposals, negotiating deals, and collaborating with internal teams like sales and marketing. 


Core responsibilities

  • Identifying opportunities: Proactively seeking out new markets, customer segments, and strategic partnerships. 
  • Lead generation and qualification: Finding and attracting potential clients and nurturing them through the sales funnel. 
  • Relationship management: Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with both new and existing clients. 
  • Strategic planning: Developing and implementing growth strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives. 
  • Proposal and presentation development: Creating compelling business proposals and presentations to win new business. 
  • Negotiation and closing: Negotiating contracts and closing deals to secure new clients and agreements. 
  • Internal collaboration: Working closely with sales, marketing, and other departments to ensure alignment and success.
