Job Description

Job Title:Payroll & Compliance Executive – Blue Collar Workforce

Department:HR / Accounts / Administration

Reporting To:HR Manager / Compliance Head

Job Purpose (Role Objective):To manage accurate payroll processing and statutory compliance for blue-collar staff (kitchen, service, housekeeping, drivers, helpers, etc.), ensuring 100% legal compliance, timely salary disbursement, and proper record maintenance.


  • Key Responsibilities:1. Payroll ManagementPrepare monthly payroll for blue-collar staff (daily wages / monthly wages).
  • Calculate attendance, overtime, weekly off, leaves, holidays.
  • Manage wage deductions: PF, ESIC, advances, penalties (if applicable).
  • Ensure on-time salary transfer (bank / cash / UPI as per policy).
  • Generate payslips and payroll reports.

  • 2. Statutory ComplianceHandle PF, ESIC, PT, LWF compliances.
  • Ensure new employee PF/ESIC registration.
  • Timely monthly challan payments & returns filing.
  • Maintain compliance records & registers as per labour laws.
  • Coordinate with consultants, auditors, and government departments.


  • 3. Attendance & Data ControlCollect attendance from biometric / manual registers / site supervisors.
  • Verify absenteeism, late coming, overtime approvals.
  • Maintain master employee data (Aadhaar, bank, PF, ESIC details).
  • 4. Blue Collar DocumentationMaintain employee joining forms, ID proof, bank details.
  • Ensure labour law registers (Form A, B, Muster Roll, Wage Register).
  • Keep records ready for inspection or audit.
  • 5. Coordination & SupportCoordinate with operations/site managers for attendance & wages.
  • Resolve salary-related queries from staff.
  • Support HR in contract labour compliance (if applicable).
  • 6. Reporting & ControlsPrepare monthly payroll MIS.
  • Track compliance due dates and create alerts.
  • Highlight non-compliance risks to management.
  • Key Skills Required:Knowledge of Indian Labour Laws (PF, ESIC, Minimum Wages).
  • Experience handling blue-collar payroll.
  • Basic Excel & payroll software knowledge.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle large workforce & pressure timelines.
  • Experience & Qualification:Experience: 2–5 years in payroll & compliance (blue-collar preferred).
  • Qualification: Graduate (HR / Commerce preferred).
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):100% on-time salary processing

  • Payroll accuracy above 99.5%
