QA / QC Executive

Job Summary:We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically sound Quality Engineer to ensure that all electric two-wheelers manufactured at Kyte Energy meet defined quality, safety, and performance standards before dispatch to dealers. The candidate will play a critical role in final inspection, vehicle testing, and certification of roadworthiness.

• Key Responsibilities:Perform end-to-end quality inspection of EV two-wheelers before dispatch
• Conduct road trials and functional testing of vehicles to verify:
• Ride quality
• Braking performance
• Battery performance and range indicators
• Electrical systems (lights, indicators, display, wiring)
• Personally test drive vehicles to certify safety and performance standards
• Ensure each vehicle meets internal quality benchmarks and regulatory requirements
• Identify defects, root causes, and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA)
• Maintain quality checklists, inspection reports, and trial records
• Coordinate with production and assembly teams to resolve quality issues
• Monitor consistency in fit & finish, assembly standards, and component quality
• Conduct random audits and batch-wise inspections
• Ensure compliance with safety norms and EV-specific standards
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in product quality and reliability
• Trial & Testing Responsibilities:Perform daily trial runs of randomly selected vehicles from production batches
• Maintain a trial logbook with performance observations
• Validate:
• Acceleration & pickup
• Battery charging/discharging behavior
• Noise/vibration issues
• Controller and motor response
• Reject or approve vehicles based on trial outcomes before dispatch
• Required Skills & Qualifications:Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automobile Engineering
• Basic automotive knowledge is mandatory (2-wheeler systems preferred)
• Ability to ride two-wheelers confidently (valid driving license required)
• Understanding of:
• EV components (battery, motor, controller)
• Basic electrical and mechanical systems
• Strong observation and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with quality tools (checklists, inspection formats, basic QC tools)
• Attention to detail and accountability
• Experience:1–3 years in automobile / EV manufacturing / quality control preferred
• Freshers with strong automotive fundamentals can also be considered
• Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):Reduction in dealer complaints / returns
• First-time-right quality rate
• Defect identification and closure time
• Trial rejection vs approval accuracy
• Additional Requirements:Willingness to work on shop floor and testing environment
• Ability to handle multiple vehicle inspections daily
• Strong discipline in documentation and reporting
