Retail Pharmacist

Job Summary

The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, providing patient counseling, maintaining pharmacy operations, and ensuring compliance with statutory and company standards to deliver safe and effective healthcare services.

• Key ResponsibilitiesDispense prescription and OTC medicines accurately as per doctor’s prescription
• Verify prescriptions for correctness, dosage, and drug interactions
• Counsel customers on medication usage, dosage, side effects, and precautions
• Maintain proper storage, labeling, and inventory of medicines
• Ensure compliance with Drugs & Cosmetics Act and other regulatory requirements
• Handle billing, cash counter support, and pharmacy software entries
• Monitor stock levels, expiry dates, and place indents as required
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy
• Coordinate with store staff and doctors (if applicable) for smooth operations
• Handle customer queries and provide excellent customer service
• Required QualificationsD.Pharm / B.Pharm / M.Pharm
• Registered Pharmacist with State Pharmacy Council
• Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of medicines and formulations
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Customer-focused approach
• Basic computer knowledge and billing software familiarity
• Attention to detail and accuracy
