Job Summary

The Solar Sales Executive is responsible for generating leads, meeting potential clients, and promoting solar energy solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial customers. The role involves understanding client needs, preparing proposals, and closing sales to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

Identify potential customers through field surveys, cold calling, networking, and online research.

Schedule and conduct meetings or site visits to understand customer requirements.

Maintain and update the sales pipeline through CRM or company systems.

2. Sales Presentations & Client Engagement

Explain company products, solar system benefits, financial savings, and ROI to clients.

Provide technical and commercial explanations in an easy-to-understand manner.

Conduct detailed site assessments (basic technical knowledge required).

3. Proposal & Quotation Management

Prepare accurate proposals, quotations, and financial projections.

Coordinate with engineering and design teams for customized solutions.

Follow up with clients regularly to convert prospects into confirmed sales.

4. Deal Closure & Documentation

Negotiate terms, pricing, and timelines to close deals effectively.

Ensure timely signing of contracts, agreements, and documentation as per company policy.

5. Post-Sales Coordination

Coordinate installation schedules with project teams.

Maintain client relationships for referrals and repeat business.

6. Market Research & Reporting

Track competitor activities and market trends.

Prepare daily/weekly sales reports and share with management.

Required Skills & Qualifications


1–5 years of experience in solar sales or similar field (freshers with strong communication skills can also apply).

Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Basic understanding of solar power systems, load calculation, and system sizing (training may be provided).

Ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
