Surveyor

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Total Station Operator to perform accurate surveying, leveling, and setting-out work at project sites. The candidate will be responsible for establishing control points, capturing topographical data, and supporting civil and structural works with precise measurements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct topographical and layout surveys using Total Station and Auto Level instruments.
• Establish and maintain control points, benchmarks, and reference lines at site.
• Perform setting-out and alignment for civil, structural, and utility works as per drawings.
• Coordinate with site engineers for layout verification and dimensional accuracy.
• Record, process, and maintain survey data, drawings, and field reports.
• Prepare and submit survey records, coordinate data, and as-built measurements.
• Ensure instruments are properly calibrated, maintained, and safely handled.
• Assist in resolving any discrepancies between site measurements and construction drawings.
• Support QA/QC teams in measurement verification and billing documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma / ITI in Civil Engineering or Surveying.
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating Total Station (Leica, Sokkia, Topcon, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of surveying principles, coordinate systems, and leveling.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and site plans.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and basic data processing software.
• Good teamwork, communication, and record-keeping skills.
• Willingness to work at project sites and travel as required.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience in government or large infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with GPS survey instruments and digital data management.
• Knowledge of as-built survey preparation and volume calculation.
