Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting & Finance

• Maintain day-to-day accounting records (Purchase, Sales, Receipts, Payments)

• Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

• Prepare and maintain ledger accounts and trial balance

• Bank reconciliation and cash flow monitoring

• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Monitor expenses and cost control

2. Billing & Invoicing (Pharma Specific)

• Generate accurate GST-compliant sales invoices

• Billing for distributors, stockists, hospitals, and retailers

• Ensure batch-wise billing (expiry date, batch number, MRP compliance)

• Process credit notes, debit notes, and returns

• Maintain billing records as per drug regulatory requirements

• Coordinate with warehouse for dispatch and documentation

3. Taxation & Compliance

• GST calculation, filing support, and reconciliation

• TDS calculations and statutory compliance

• Maintain records for audits and regulatory inspections

• Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical pricing policies (MRP, discounts)

4. Inventory & Purchase Accounting

• Record purchase invoices and input GST

• Match purchase orders with invoices and GRNs

• Coordinate with stores for stock verification

• Monitor expired/damaged stock accounting

5. Reporting

• Prepare sales reports, outstanding reports, and aging analysis

• Generate billing summaries and collection reports

• Assist management with financial insights

Required Skills:

Knowledge of accounting software (Tally, Busy, SAP, etc.)

Understanding of GST and pharma billing rules

Attention to detail and accuracy

Knowledge of batch-wise inventory billing preferred

MS Excel proficiency
