Electronics Technician

Core ResponsibilitiesThe day-to-day duties of an electronic technician are usually a mix of bench work (repairs) and field work (installation/testing).

• Assembly and Prototyping: Building electronic circuits and assemblies based on technical drawings, blueprints, or VHDL/Verilog specifications.
• Testing and Calibration: Using specialized tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and spectrum analyzers to ensure systems are operating within defined parameters.
• Troubleshooting: Identifying the "root cause" of equipment failure at the component level (e.g., finding a blown capacitor or a faulty transistor).
• Maintenance: Performing preventative maintenance on industrial machinery, communication systems, or medical equipment.
• Documentation: Keeping precise logs of repairs, system upgrades, and technical "as-built" diagrams.
