Factory Supervisor

Experience: 3–10 years in manufacturing, preferably in packaging machinery, FMCG, pharma, food, or packaging

Reporting to: Director

About the role

You’ll be responsible for running the factory end-to-end. That means production planning, machine assembly, quality control, people management, and keeping timelines tight. The goal is simple: smooth operations and reliable output.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day factory operations, assembly activities, and production flow

• Plan production schedules based on orders and ensure timely dispatch

• Manage and guide technicians, fitters, electricians, and helpers

• Ensure machines (tube fillers, cartonators,etc.) are assembled as per drawings and standards

• Conduct in-process quality checks, final inspections, and FAT readiness

• Maintain stock of components, bought-outs, and consumables

• Coordinate with vendors for machining, fabrications, and outsourced parts

• Ensure preventive maintenance of tools, equipment, and testing setups

• Maintain factory discipline, safety, and housekeeping

• Monitor costs, reduce waste, and ensure efficient resource utilization

• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports

• Support the service team for client installations when required

• Work closely with the design, purchase, and sales teams to close issues quickly

Skills we’re looking for

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes

• Hands-on understanding of mechanical and electrical systems

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

• Experience handling a team on the shop floor

• Problem-solver with a calm, practical mindset

• Good communication and record-keeping

• Comfortable working under timelines and managing multiple jobs in parallel

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)

• 3–10 years of experience in a similar role
