Housekeeping Supervisor – Residential (Multiple Sites)

Job Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily housekeeping operations across multiple residential sites. This role ensures high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation while managing housekeeping staff, coordinating schedules, maintaining supplies, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Quality Control

Supervise housekeeping activities across multiple residential properties

Ensure all common areas, apartments, and facilities meet cleanliness and presentation standards

Conduct regular site inspections and audits; address deficiencies promptly

Implement and monitor housekeeping procedures, checklists, and standards

Handle resident requests and complaints related to housekeeping services

Staff Supervision & Training

Supervise, motivate, and support housekeeping staff across sites

Prepare duty rosters, schedules, and site allocations

Train new and existing staff on cleaning techniques, equipment use, and safety procedures

Monitor staff performance and provide coaching or corrective action as needed

Ensure proper attendance, timekeeping, and productivity

Inventory & Equipment Management

Monitor usage of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and linen

Order, receive, and control housekeeping inventory within budget

Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of cleaning equipment

Report equipment damage or maintenance needs

Health, Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations

Enforce proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals

Promote safe working practices and use of PPE

Ensure adherence to company policies and local regulations

Coordination & Reporting

Coordinate with property managers, maintenance teams, and external contractors

Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly reports on staffing, supplies, and site conditions

Assist management with inspections, audits, and special projects

Requirements & Qualifications

Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role (preferably multi-site)

Strong knowledge of cleaning standards, chemicals, and equipment

Excellent leadership, organizational, and time-management skills

Ability to manage teams across multiple locations

Good communication and problem-solving skills

Basic computer skills for reports and scheduling

Flexibility to travel between sites and work weekends or shifts as required

Preferred Skills

Experience in residential buildings, compounds, or serviced apartments

Knowledge of local health and safety regulations

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
