Job Description

Role Overview

The Recruitment Consultant acts as a strategic bridge between client organizations and top-tier talent. Unlike internal HR, this role requires a high degree of sales acumen, networking, and the ability to manage multiple client requirements across various industries simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities1. Client Relationship Management

  • Account Management: Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to understand their long-term hiring roadmaps.
  • Requirement Analysis: Conduct detailed "job briefings" with clients to understand the technical requirements, cultural fit, and budget for each role.
  • Market Intelligence: Provide clients with insights on market trends, salary benchmarking, and talent availability.

2. Candidate Sourcing & Pipeline Building

  • Strategic Sourcing: Use LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards (Naukri, Monster, etc.), and niche forums to find passive and active candidates.
  • Headhunting: Directly approach high-level professionals for specialized or executive-level roles.
  • Database Management: Maintain an organized Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to ensure a steady pipeline of pre-screened talent.

3. Assessment & Selection

  • Screening: Conduct thorough initial interviews to assess technical competence, communication skills, and career motivations.
  • Shortlisting: Present a curated list of the top 3–5 candidates to the client, providing detailed evaluation notes for each.
  • Interview Coordination: Manage the scheduling of all interview rounds between the client and the candidates.

4. Offer Management & Closing

  • Negotiation: Act as a mediator during salary negotiations to ensure a mutually beneficial agreement.
  • Reference Checks: Conduct professional background and reference checks as required by the client.
  • Post-Placement Support: Follow up with both the candidate and the client during the first 90 days to ensure a smooth transition.

Required Skills & Qualifications Category Requirements Education: XIIth Pass, Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).Experience 2–5 years of experience in a consultancy or "agency-side" recruitment environment.


Technical Skills: Mastery of Boolean Search, ATS platforms, and social media recruiting.


Soft Skills: High emotional intelligence, persuasive communication, and "thick skin" for handling candidate drop-outs.
