Junior Production Engineer

Core Responsibilities

• Production Planning & Scheduling: Developing daily or weekly production plans to meet delivery targets while managing resources like manpower, machines, and raw materials.
• Process Optimization: Identifying bottlenecks on the shop floor and implementing strategies to reduce waste, cycle time, and operational costs (using tools like Lean or Kaizen).
• Quality Assurance: Monitoring production to ensure products meet industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and customer specifications, and handling root cause analysis for any defects.
• Shop Floor Management: Supervising operators and technicians, maintaining discipline, and ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Maintenance Coordination: Scheduling routine machine inspections and collaborating with maintenance teams to minimize unplanned downtime.

Safety Compliance: Enforcing strict safety protocols and ensuring the working environment complies with environmental and occupational health regulations. 

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks), ERP systems (like SAP), and an understanding of specific manufacturing processes (e.g., injection moulding, fabrication, or chemical processing common in Taloja).
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, leadership to manage diverse teams, and clear communication for reporting to upper management.
