Manager Logistics: Job Description

LB Specialties Pvt. Ltd. is engaged in the trading business of specialty chemicals. Normally we import our products from various countries across the globe and supply these chemicals to our customers across all parts of our countries. In order to ensure a safe and timely supply of the materials to our valued customer, company have its own fleet of vehicles. Drivers and helpers are also in the company's payroll. 

For the position of the Logistic manager we are looking for a candidate who have minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in the related field. Candidate from Ex. Defence category will be given additional weightage.

Although, main roles and responsibilities of the logistics manager is to ensure delivery of the products within schedule, we are looking for a suitable candidate in this position of Logistic Manager, who can perform the following major tasks, duties, and responsibilities:

§ Manage and coordinate the company’s supply chain. Review product delivery plan in association the operation group, develop delivery schedules and prepare shipment strategies and allot drivers and helpers accordingly.

• Manage all the Drivers and Helpers on day to day basis. They will directly report to Logistic Manager.
• Maintain accurate records and files of inventory / product delivery.
• Maintain Vehicle Log Book, which includes vehicle health Card, mileage etc,
• Manage Fasttag & Diesel refilling system.
• To ensure statutory compliance (like permit, insurance etc) of all the vehicles on time.
• Mange Vehicle preventive maintenance like Schedule servicing, wheel balancing, routing check etc.
• Prepare absentee statement of the staffs. Prepare and present staff reports and other correspondence as appropriate and necessary
• To assist in recruitment of Drivers and helpers.
