Role OverviewWe are looking for a results-driven Production Engineer who will oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensure production targets are achieved, optimize processes, reduce wastage, and maintain quality standards. The ideal candidate must be technically strong, disciplined, and capable of driving productivity improvements on the shop floor.

This role directly impacts efficiency, cost control, and delivery timelines.

• Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & ExecutionPlan daily and weekly production schedules based on sales orders.

• Ensure timely completion of production targets.
• Coordinate with Stores, Purchase, and Sales departments.
• Monitor machine utilization and manpower allocation.

2. Process OptimizationAnalyze production processes and suggest improvements.

• Reduce material wastage and improve yield.
• Implement cost-saving measures.
• Standardize SOPs for consistent output.

3. Quality ControlEnsure products meet company quality standards.

• Conduct regular inspections during production.
• Coordinate with Quality team for corrective actions.
• Reduce rejection and rework percentage.

4. Machine & Equipment ManagementMonitor machine performance and downtime.

• Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules.
• Maintain production records including run time, batch count, and breakdown logs.

5. Inventory & Material ControlTrack raw material consumption.

• Minimize excess stock and shortages.
• Coordinate with stores for material availability.

6. Team SupervisionSupervise shop floor workers.

• Train operators on production standards and safety.
• Maintain discipline and productivity on the floor.

7. Reporting & MISPrepare daily production reports.

• Track production efficiency and wastage.
• Maintain data for management review.
• Suggest monthly improvement targets.

• Required QualificationsDiploma / B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering
• 2–5 years of manufacturing experience (preferably in fabrication / sheet metal / cable trays / metal industry)
• Knowledge of production planning and process improvement
• Basic knowledge of Excel & MIS reporting
