Job Overview

Crish Metal Work Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to ensure the consistent quality and precision of metal fabricated components as per customer specifications and industry standards.

The role involves inspection, quality control, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives within the fabrication and manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

Incoming Material Inspection

• Inspect raw materials such as sheets, pipes, angles, and fabricated components.
• Verify material dimensions, specifications, and surface finish using measuring instruments.

In-Process & Final Inspection

• Conduct stage-wise and final inspection of fabricated parts.
• Check welding, cutting, bending accuracy, and tolerances based on technical drawings and customer requirements.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain inspection reports and quality documentation.
• Prepare final QC reports for dispatch.
• Manage calibration records and rejection reports.

Customer & Internal Audits

• Support customer quality audits and third-party inspections.
• Assist during ISO audits and implement corrective actions for Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).

Root Cause Analysis & CAPA

• Identify recurring quality issues.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using 5 Whys and Fishbone diagrams.
• Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

Welding & Fabrication Quality Checks

• Conduct visual and dimensional inspection of weld joints.
• Ensure compliance with WPS/PQR welding standards.
• Identify welding defects and ensure corrective measures.

Supplier Quality Assurance

• Evaluate vendor quality performance.
• Provide feedback to suppliers and support supplier quality audits when required.

Continuous Improvement

• Participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Implement 5S, Kaizen, and waste reduction practices in fabrication processes.

Required Skills & Tools

• Knowledge of fabrication and welding inspection
• Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings
• Hands-on experience with measuring instruments

• Welding Gauge

Software & Quality Systems

• MS Excel & MS Word for documentation
• ISO 9001:2015 awareness

Preferred Qualification

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
