Senior Account Manager

The Senior Manager – Accounts will be responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory and tax compliance, and robust internal controls. The role involves leading the accounting team, coordinating with auditors and consultants, and supporting management with timely financial insights for informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end accounting operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and tax filings, while maintaining effective internal control systems.
• Lead, mentor, and review the work of the accounting team, including accountants and junior finance staff.
• Allocate work, set clear deadlines, and ensure adherence to timelines and deliverables.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Support senior management with timely financial insights, analysis, and recommendations.
• Prepare and finalize financial statements for group entities in accordance with statutory requirements.
• Prepare, review, and analyze MIS reports, variance analysis, and financial dashboards for management reporting.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support business planning.
• Provide financial inputs for business decisions, contracts, and strategic initiatives.
• Ensure data accuracy, system integrity, and proper financial documentation across processes.

Experience & Qualifications

• 7–10 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, and compliance roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and statutory compliances.
• Proven experience in managing audits and leading a finance/accounting team.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders.
• Prior experience in the transport industry will be an added advantage.
