Job Description
- Recruitment & Manpower Planning:Handle end-to-end recruitment for transport operations, including drivers, operations executives, supervisors, accounts, and support staff.
- Plan and manage manpower requirements as per operational needs.
- Coordinate onboarding, joining formalities, and induction programs.
- HR Operations:Manage attendance, shift schedules, leave management, and employee records.
- Ensure smooth handling of joining, confirmation, transfers, and exits.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Payroll & Compensation:Coordinate payroll processing with accounts team.
- Manage salary structure, incentives, overtime, trip-based payouts, and deductions.
- Ensure timely full and final settlements.
- Statutory Compliance:Ensure compliance with labor laws such as PF, ESI, PT, Bonus, Gratuity, and Shops & Establishment Act.
- Handle statutory audits and inspections.
- Maintain proper documentation and registers.
- Employee Engagement & Performance:Support performance appraisal processes.
- Drive employee engagement activities and retention initiatives.
- Implement training and development programs for staff and supervisors.
- Policy & Process Management:Develop, implement, and update HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbooks.
- Ensure company policies are communicated and followed across locations.
- Support management in organizational development and culture building.
- Coordination & Reporting:Act as a bridge between management and employees.
- Prepare HR MIS reports including attrition, headcount, payroll, and compliance status.
- Support management with HR analytics and strategic inputs.
- Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of HR operations in transport / logistics industry.
- Experience in handling blue-collar and white-collar workforce.
- Excellent knowledge of Indian labor laws and compliance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, HRMS, and payroll systems.
- Qualifications & Experience:MBA / PGDM in HR or equivalent qualification.
- 7–12 years of experience in HR, preferably in transport, logistics, or fleet management companies.
- Experience in multi-location workforce handling will be an added advantage.
