Job Description

  • Recruitment & Manpower Planning:Handle end-to-end recruitment for transport operations, including drivers, operations executives, supervisors, accounts, and support staff.
  • Plan and manage manpower requirements as per operational needs.
  • Coordinate onboarding, joining formalities, and induction programs.
  • HR Operations:Manage attendance, shift schedules, leave management, and employee records.
  • Ensure smooth handling of joining, confirmation, transfers, and exits.
  • Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Payroll & Compensation:Coordinate payroll processing with accounts team.
  • Manage salary structure, incentives, overtime, trip-based payouts, and deductions.
  • Ensure timely full and final settlements.
  • Statutory Compliance:Ensure compliance with labor laws such as PF, ESI, PT, Bonus, Gratuity, and Shops & Establishment Act.
  • Handle statutory audits and inspections.
  • Maintain proper documentation and registers.
  • Employee Engagement & Performance:Support performance appraisal processes.
  • Drive employee engagement activities and retention initiatives.
  • Implement training and development programs for staff and supervisors.
  • Policy & Process Management:Develop, implement, and update HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbooks.
  • Ensure company policies are communicated and followed across locations.
  • Support management in organizational development and culture building.
  • Coordination & Reporting:Act as a bridge between management and employees.
  • Prepare HR MIS reports including attrition, headcount, payroll, and compliance status.
  • Support management with HR analytics and strategic inputs.
  • Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of HR operations in transport / logistics industry.
  • Experience in handling blue-collar and white-collar workforce.
  • Excellent knowledge of Indian labor laws and compliance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, HRMS, and payroll systems.
  • Qualifications & Experience:MBA / PGDM in HR or equivalent qualification.
  • 7–12 years of experience in HR, preferably in transport, logistics, or fleet management companies.
  • Experience in multi-location workforce handling will be an added advantage.
