Job Description – Planner & Supply Chain Executive

Position: Planner & Supply Chain Executive

Department: Planning / Supply Chain / Operations

Experience: 2–5 Years

Qualification: Diploma / BE / B.Tech / Graduate (Operations, Mechanical, Industrial preferred)

Location: Rasayani near Panvel

Job Purpose

To ensure effective production planning, material availability, inventory control, and coordination with procurement, production, and vendors for smooth and timely execution of orders.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and forecast.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure adherence to delivery timelines.
• Coordinate with production teams to resolve capacity or material constraints.

Material Planning & Procurement Coordination

• Plan raw material, bought-out items, and consumables as per BOM and production plan.
• Generate Purchase Requisitions (PR) and follow up with the purchase team.
• Track material receipts and ensure availability before production start.

Inventory Control

• Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages and excess stock.
• Maintain optimum stock levels for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Support stock audits and reconciliation activities.

Vendor & Logistics Coordination

• Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
• Coordinate with logistics for inward and outward material movement.
• Track dispatch schedules and ensure on-time customer deliveries.

MIS & Reporting

• Prepare planning MIS reports (Production, Material Status, Dispatch, Inventory).
• Update ERP / Excel planning trackers regularly.
• Highlight risks, delays, and improvement opportunities to management.

Continuous Improvement

• Support process improvements in planning, inventory, and supply chain flow.
• Assist in implementing lean practices and cost optimization initiatives.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Production Planning & Supply Chain concepts
• Experience with ERP / MRP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally / any ERP preferred)
• Good command over MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot, basic formulas)
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good coordination and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
