Job Description

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Logistics, Operations, or Supply Chain Management. 
  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing large transport/fleet operations (1000+ vehicles). 
  • Proven experience in handling client materials and high-volume distribution. 
  • Strong knowledge of e-way bills, transport regulations, and incident management. 
  • Excellent people management, vendor management, and communication skills. 
  • Proficiency in transport/fleet management software and MS Office. 
  • Fluency in Hindi and English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.



Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Material Transportation

  • Ensure safe and timely transportation of client goods across regions. 
  • Maintain proper handling, documentation, and accountability for client materials. 
  • Manage delivery schedules to meet client expectations and service levels. 

2. Transport & Fleet Management

  • Oversee daily fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, fuel tracking, repairs, 

and preventive maintenance. 

  • Plan optimal routes, manage schedules, and ensure efficient fleet utilization. 
  • Monitor compliance with transport regulations, safety protocols, and proper 

documentation. 

  • Handle incidents, delays, and emergencies with timely solutions. 

3. C&F & Warehouse Operations

  • Manage warehouses and dispatch planning for client materials.
  • Drive inventory accuracy, stock reconciliation, and loss prevention. 

4. Team & Vendor Management

  • Lead teams of drivers, contractual staff, and transport vendors. 
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and manage performance of all transport staff. 
  • Negotiate with carriers, freight forwarders, and suppliers; manage contracts and SLAs.

5. Financial & Strategic Oversight

  • Optimize transport costs and manage budgets. 
  • Implement cost-saving strategies and track KPIs (delivery time, cost efficiency, accuracy). 
  • Support logistics and transportation strategy execution across locations. 

6. Risk, Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure adherence to HSSE, ISO, and regulatory standards. 
  • Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and implement corrective actions. 
  • Maintain client trust through accurate reporting, safe handling, and audit readiness. 

7. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Liaise with clients, internal teams, vendors, and project stakeholders. 
  • Lead control meetings to identify issues and implement solutions. 
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve the transport and logistics network.
