CAD JEWELLERY DESIGNER

Job Description: CAD Jewellery Designer

• Role Summary: Responsible for converting artistic sketches or concepts into accurate 3D digital models for manufacturing and 3D printing.
• Core Responsibilities:
• Develop 3D models of jewelry pieces (rings, necklaces, earrings, etc.) using CAD software (Rhino, Matrix, JewelCAD).
• Ensure designs are manufacturable, optimizing for metal weight, stone size, and setting techniques.
• Generate photo-realistic renders for client approval and marketing.
• Prepare and finalize STL files for 3D printing.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to refine designs and resolve technical issues.
• Modify existing CAD designs based on feedback or custom orders.
• Key Requirements:
• Experience: 1–5+ years in the jewelry industry, specifically with diamond-studded or gold jewelry.
• Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of MatrixGold, Rhino, or similar CAD software.
• Skills: Strong understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes, stone setting, and metal casting.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Jewellery Design/Product Design, or relevant certification.
• Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing detailed 3D jewelry models and renderings.
• Required Attributes: High attention to detail, strong visualization skills, and the ability to meet tight deadline
