Estimation Engineer – Electrical Panels

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate techno-commercial offers, cost estimations, and quotations for LT/HT electrical panels such as PCC, MCC, APFC, control panels, and custom-built solutions. The role requires strong knowledge of electrical components, pricing, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Study project specifications, tender documents, drawings, and BOQs to understand scope.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates, technical offers, and price quotations for LT/HT panels.
• Identify and select appropriate components such as breakers, contactors, relays, meters, and switchgear.
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain up-to-date pricing for materials and components.
• Work closely with the design and sales teams to ensure estimates are technically and commercially sound.
• Submit offers within stipulated deadlines and follow up with customers or the sales team.
• Maintain a database of component prices and project costing for future reference.
• Assist in value engineering and cost optimization wherever applicable.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings or technical discussions when needed.
• Support handover to execution/project team post order confirmation.

Key Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of electrical panels, switchgear, and control systems.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD (basic), and familiarity with ERP/CRM systems.
• Good understanding of IS/IEC standards, tendering process, and panel specifications.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple inquiries simultaneously under tight timelines.

Key Skills Required:

• Exposure to government tenders, EPC contracts, and consultant-driven projects.
• Prior coordination with OEM for pricing.
• Experience in estimation of PCC, MCC, APFC, AMF panels, and custom-built electrical panels.
